The Charlotte Hornets are off to a good start by winning their first two pre-season games, and newly acquired Jeremy Lin couldn't be more pleased.
In the win over the Orlando Magic with a score of 106-100, Jeremy Lin proved to be a good signing for the Charlotte Hornets as he scored 17 points on 50% shooting along with seven assists off the bench.
"With the second unit, Lin handled much of the play making duties, and creating several open shot opportunities by driving the lane and drawing defenders," reported Hornets fan site At The Hive. "Lin played a lot off the ball in the second half, with Roberts handling the point guard duties, but handled that role as well, which is a good sign seeing as he will likely see time with Kemba Walker."
"It was cool to play just somebody besides ourselves," he told reporters. "We have been going at it for a while at camp. Not tonight."
He also pointed out the crisp ball movement which created a lot of open looks for everybody which made the game easier.
The point guard then added that they can compete with anybody on the league this coming season if they play like they did on the game against the Orlando Magic.
On the win against the Miami Heat, Linsanity proved to be a good spark off the bench as Jeremy Lin scored 10 points.
The player of that game was Brian Roberts who only missed once in four attempts from the long range.
"He added three rebounds and three assists and his three treys were key for the Hornets in the fourth quarter as Charlotte outscored Miami, 21-14, in the deciding fourth quarter," NBA.com said.
The Charlotte Hornets will next play the Los Angeles Clippers in the Shenzhen Universiade Center on Oct. 11 and Jeremy Lin will try to channel Linsanity once again as the team lost its point guard, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist to injury.
