"Awesome," "Thank you" and "I loved this drama so much" were some of the netizen reactions to the last episode and finale of "I Hear Your Voice."
It was the drama that delivered all the goods early on and kept on giving.
Lee Bo Young, Yang Sang Hyun, Lee Jong Suk and Lee Da Hee all earned praise for their performances. Lee Jong Suk who started the drama looking and acting like an overgrown kid, grew up quickly and by the last episodes delivered a strong mature performance.
The drama characters were all well rounded and interesting without ever becoming comic book. The drama's heroine, Jang Hye Sung, was a good person who had plenty of flaws.
The well-written plot never flagged or got unnecessarily convoluted, even though two episodes were added. Adding episodes can sometimes add ridiculous complications to a drama story.
The story was lean, and as one netizen commented, "There were no filler episodes."
And the drama had many subtle lessons to teach about the importance of listening to others and having compassion and fighting for justice. Altogether viewers found it an upbeat experience.
Aside from earning critical praise, the drama also consistently had popular support, with double digit viewer ratings high early on and rising as high as 25.2 percent. The competition never had a chance.
The most recent episode of "Queen's Classroom" a drama about a tyrannical teacher rated only 8.2 percent and the saeguk "Sword and the Flower" earned only 5 percent.
To celebrate the drama's success, the cast and crew of "I Hear Your Voice" is headed to Phuket in Thailand to vacation together before working on their separate future projects.
Park Hye Run, who wrote the drama, is funding the trip with the money that she earned for writing the two added episodes. She wanted the money to be used to reward the cast and crew for their hard work in helping to make the drama a success.
Lee Jong Suk could not go on the trip, as he already started filming "No Breathing" with Seo In Guk. The two have started their training to play competitive swimmers. Kwon Yuri will play the film's female lead.
Lee Bo Young does plan to go on the trip before she begins organizing her wedding to actor Ji Sung.
