Microsoft has now updated Skype with an interesting feature which enables the users to answer video or audio calls without installing Skype account in the device. This new Skype update is Microsoft's diligent effort to make the app available for everyone.
Microsoft has introduced the unique Skype link with which the user can make audio and video calls to their friends and relatives. However one among the two using Skype needs to have a Skype account. A person can send up to 25 links whether or not the other person has a Skype account, according to Mail Online.
"Today, we're excited to announce something new - a small change that will make a big difference to how people use Skype every day," said Microsoft about Skype update. "We've started to roll out the ability for users to invite anyone to join a Skype chat by sharing a unique link - send it however you want, in an email, on Facebook, WhatsApp, Messenger or Twitter," reported Tech Times.
The user can generate a link by clicking on the +New button and share it with the other person. The person receiving the link just needs to click on the link enter the name and start chatting right away. The invite link could be sent through any channel including email, messenger, Whatsapp, Twitter and Facebook. The link can be generated from Skype for Windows, Skype for Web as well as Skype for Mac.
If the invited person doesn't have a laptop or a PC equipped with a webcam the user can still be able to continue chat in voice mode. The invite could also be sent to Android and iOS users however they will not be able to avail the video and audio calling option without installing the Skype account. The Skype update is out there and the new feature is already available to the users with new updated version of Skype.
