Actress Kim Hee Sun is considering "Botox," but she's not thinking about getting a cosmetic surgery procedure designed to plump up your face and make it look more youthful.
"Botox" is the name of an upcoming film about the affair between an older woman and a much younger man.
Kim does not actually need Botox or any kind of cosmetic surgery procedures. At 36, the star of "Goodbye My Love," "Smile Again" and "Faith: The Great Doctor" looks great for her age.
But the possibility of using such youth-enhancing procedures will probably come up in the film. The role Kim Hee Sun is considering is that of Young Sook, a writer in her 40s, who falls for a 21-year-old man.
And in her last drama, "Faith: The Great Doctor," Kim portrayed a superficial and successful plastic surgeon who is kidnapped into the past by the time-traveling warrior played by Lee Min Ho. In that drama she also fell in love with a younger man, as Lee Min Ho is ten years her junior.
Netizens have commented that Kim is often paired with younger actors, because she looks so very good for her age. That's probably why she was a first choice for this role.
The film "Botox" is based on the two-year-long webtoon "Botox" and will be directed by the webtoon's author and respected manga writer Hwang Mi Na. It will be her first directing effort.
The man Young Sook falls in love with is not only 20 years younger, but is also a very childish 21-year-old named Gunni. MBLAQ's Lee Joon is considering the role.
"It is true that we are considering the offer favorably but we have not yet decided to confirm the casting," said his agency's representatives.
It would not be his first acting role as he appeared in the drama "Iris II" as Yoon Shi Hyuk. He also had a few film roles, most recently appearing as young Min Joo in the 2013 film "Rough Play." He appeared in the 2009 film, "Ninja Assassin," as teenage Raizo and helped dub the Korean version of "Gnomeo and Juliet."
Meanwhile Kim See Hun's agency will also not confirm her participation. They say it is true that she received the offer but has said nothing about starring in the drama.
Besides appearing in more than a dozen dramas and a half a dozen films, Kim is one of the hosts of the variety show, "Strong Heart."
