Although fans will have to wait a while longer to see actor Jo In Sung on screen, this week one lucky fan did get to share something special with him in person.
That fan got to experience the cotton candy kiss that his "That Winter The Wind Blows" character Oh Soo shared with Song Hye Kyo.
The sticky kiss took place at a fan meeting at the NH Art Hall in Seoul. More than 500 Japanese, Chinese and Korean fans attended.
As part of the meeting's fan service, the actor went into the audience and let fans act out some of their favorite "That Winter The Wind Blows" scenes. Favorites included warming up Song Hye Kyo's hands when she was cold and re-enacting the famous cotton candy kiss in which the two actors both tasted a pink cloud of cotton candy. One fan got to share that sweet treat with him.
Besides fulfilling fans' wishes, he also gave all those who attended the bracelet that Oh Soo wore in the drama. However, he did not give his fans the gift of telling them what his next project would be.
Earlier this week, he dropped out of the science fiction film, "Kwon Bob," that he waited two years to make. He was cast in that film after ending his military service in 2011 and turned down several offers to appear in it. When he read the script for "That Winter The Wind Blows," he felt he could not turn that drama down, so he took the role of Oh Soo, the con man who tries to swindle a blind heiress out of her money. He pretends to be her brother but his scheme fails when he falls in love with her.
It was a good decision as it turned out to be one of the more popular dramas this year.
When the drama ended, he hoped to begin work on "Kwon Bob," but scheduling conflicts kept delaying the film and he was finally forced to drop out.
Before appearing in "That Winter The Wind Blows," Jo starred in the films, "A Frozen Flower" and "A Dirty Carnival," and the drama "Something Happened in Bali." Although there is no word on what his next project will be, a few lucky fans have some lovely "That Winter The Wind Blows" memories to tide them over until the actor commits to a new drama or film.
