After a few months without a network, Jang Geun Suk's new drama "Pretty Boy" has finally found a home at KBS. It's surprising that it took so long to find a home given the popularity of Jang Geun Suk. The Hallyu star has been called the Prince of Asia due to his popularity in China and Japan.

In "Pretty Boy," he will play someone whose good looks and charm easily seduce women. But while his good looks can attract women and help him attain wealth and power, they are not helping him to find true love. His "Pretty Boy" character Dokgo Matte finally learns the meaning of true love through his interactions with a woman who only loves herself.

Playing a man idolized for his looks is perfect casting for Jang Geun Suk. His good looks and winning smile have earned him work as a model for facial cosmetics. As an actor, he has played a teen idol in "You're Beautiful," a desirable indie rocker idol in "Mary Stayed Out All Night" and a heartthrob fashion photographer in "Love Rain." He is definitely qualified to play someone pretty and according to his talent agency he was attracted to the drama because he liked the character so much.

It will be his first drama role since 2012.

While Dokgo Matte's love interest has not yet been cast, a rival for her affections did sign on this week. According to his agency, M Entertainment, actor Lee Jang Woo will take on the role of Choi David, who is assigned to follow Dokgo Matte. He's the serious competition in the love triangle and a kindhearted man with a larger than life personality.

Lee Jang Woo is best known for his roles in the dramas "Glory Jane" and "I Do I Do." He also became popular after he appeared on "We Got married" with Ham Eun Jung. He was a member of the now defunct group 24/7 with No Min Woo and Hyun Woo. They released one single titled "24 Hours a Day, 7 Days a Week."

"Pretty Boy" is based on a popular manga about the prettiest man in the world written by Cheon Hye Yong. The screenwriter is Yoo Yong Ah, who worked on "The Miracle in Cell No. 7" and "No Breathing," the movie about swimmers starring Lee Jon Suk and Seo In Guk.

The drama is being produced by Group Eight, which is responsible for a string of mega-hits including "Boys Over Flowers" and "Princess Hours."

"Pretty Boy" will be shown in November after the conclusion of "Secret."
