This Sunday, ABC will show back-to-back episodes of "Once Upon a Time" season 5, and spoilers revealed that Emma will get to save Hook, despite becoming darker by the minute.
The story description for episode 8 of "Once Upon a Time" teased plenty of spoilers as it said that the tension in Camelot will explode as Merlin and Emma are about to have an epic showdown.
"Refusing to give in, Emma and our heroes face off against Arthur, Merlin and Zelena (Rebecca Mader) in an epic battle of magic and will," it said. "Just when the end is in sight, Emma is forced to make a gut-wrenching choice that no one saw coming."
The episode 9 synopsis, meanwhile, per TVLine, "Zelena and Arthur journey to DunBroch to retrieve a relic that will provide the advantage they need to vanquish Emma and the Storybrooke heroes. Their path will cross with that of Merida, who is on a journey to pay a debt that her father, King Fergus, owed to the Witch when he died. But the great Scot will need a helping hand, or four, in her mission."
Colin O'Donoghue earlier teased "Once Upon a Time" season 5 to Entertainment Tonight where he said that despite being the Dark Swan, Hook still has a lot of feelings for Emma.
"Hook loves Emma and he, much like the Charmings, is going to do whatever it takes to try and bring the savior Emma back because that's who he fell in love with," he said.
In fact, Hook can look to Belle and Rumple as the model relationship which shows that there's hope for him and Emma.
"Similar to Belle and Rumple, [Hook] can still see the person that he loves in that darkness," Colin O'Donoghue said. "Whether or not he's able to stop himself from going dark again is another question because he's been there before."
Watch out for more "Once Upon a Time" season 5 spoilers which will be revealed here when they come along.
