Actor Lee Min Ho's agency has officially addressed the swirling rumors about his alleged relationship with 2NE1 singer Park Bom, firmly denying any personal ties between the two celebrities.
Park Bom has posted on her social media multiple times since last year and has referenced Lee Min Ho as her 'husband,' which has created curiosity and speculation.
Fans first thought these were tongue-in-cheek declarations.
The posts were speculation-inducing in the meantime, but they fueled speculation about a possible romantic link.
Park Bom's agency jumped in to set the record straight about the budding rumors, saying that the singer was probably expressing her feeling like the mean fan that she is. Yet Park Bom shared similar posts, stating Lee Min Ho was her husband.
Interestingly enough, Park Bom is said to have opened a 3rd Instagram account.
In a post on Feb. 20, she noted, "Hey, loves, to clear up some rumor padding... ❤️ This is Park Bom.
"Hello, my loves. ❤️ This is Park Bom. Actually, I am single. I posted everything because Lee Min Ho asked me to, but I just wanted to clarify that I am single. Have a great day," Park Bo Gom said, as quoted by Koreaboo.
Later on the same day, Lee Min Ho's agency, MYM Entertainment, offered a statement to Star News to clarify the matter.
"Park Bom has no private relationship with him. The agency continued, "[Despite the dating rumors] it is baseless." It is also the first response from the Lee Min Ho camp to the controversy.
This had netizens worrying for Park Bom's safety and giving sympathy to Lee Min Ho.
Reactions in the online community forum theqoo were varied.
