Google has finally launched its much awaited music streaming application "YouTube Music" which promises to give other online music streaming giants like "Spotify," "Apple Music" and "Pandora" a tough competition, according to NYSEPost.com.

The new app just shares its parent name YouTube, but has different look and functionalities which makes it more desirable. It has different homepage with "Trending" and "Favorite" tabs as add on. These tabs allow users more personalized experience with the app and also provide top songs from their region on a daily basis. Also the new app features different playlists for the users to choose from according to their previous likes for songs or based on what the users previously listened to or according to predictions from app with respect to user's choice, reported FinancialCV.com.

Google has attempted to attract new and old users by providing two weeks trail of "YouTube Red" free of cost. "YouTube Red" offers ad-free and offline video streaming facility, but is a paid service. This free subscription will allow users to play music in the background while carrying out other activities or even turning the screen off unlike current YouTube app.

The users will also be able to save a lot of power and data usage with the audio/video selection feature for any particular music file which allows selecting either one of them. The users are also provided with access to concert videos; lyric videos and all variety of remix music, reported Independent.com.

According to Financial CV.com, the only possible drawback for the free version app is the subscription fee for accessing all its features like offline music provision or the portability feature, which are exclusively built for paid services on "YouTube Red" at $9.99.

"YouTube Red" also provides access to "Google Play" music, but is pretty different from the latter service. The latest music app can be downloaded on IOS and Android platforms as the app is compatible with both of them, reported The Wall Street Journal.
