Lee Tae Sung, who played Park Yoo Chun's time-traveling enemy Yong Tae Moo in "Rooftop Prince," is busy making some big plans.
Now that his weekend drama "Gold Appear" has finished its 50-episode run, he want to have a wedding ceremony before he has to enlist in October.
His bride's identity is no mystery as the actor already announced that he is married. Late last year he shocked fans by admitting that he was already married to a woman who was seven years older and that the couple had a one-year-old son. At that time, he explained why there had not yet been a wedding ceremony.
After the couple dated for a few years and decided to marry, they discovered they were going to be parents.
"We found out about the pregnancy while planning our wedding so for her health, we decided to push back the wedding day," said Lee.
But every time they set a date, they had to reschedule. Shortly after their child was born, Lee's grandmother, who he was very close to, became ill and passed away. Fortunately, before she died she got to see her great-grandson. Then shortly after that his grandfather died and the couple decided not to have a wedding during the period of mourning. They did register their marriage but had to postpone the actual ceremony.
"I was sorry that my wife had to get married without having a proper wedding," said Lee. "That is why I did my best to become a good husband and father."
When he announced his marriage late last year, he said that they planned to have the ceremony within a few months but plans were delayed once again by his being cast in the weekend drama.
At 28, Lee plans to enlist this year to fulfill his compulsory military duty and he definitely wants to have the wedding ceremony before he leaves for his two-year stint in the armed forces. But, according to his agency, there are no definite plans yet and it's entirely possible that the ceremony will have to be postponed again because of his enlistment. Lee and his wife, a former office worker, live with his parents.
Lee debuted in the film "Close To You" and appeared in the 2009 drama "Life is Good." He also appeared in the dramas "Hooray for Love" and "Playful Kiss."
His plans to enlist should not surprise fans either as he stated his plans at a press conference before "Gold Appear" began. He just wanted to do one more drama role before he left.
"I feel very responsible now," he said then about his plans to enlist. "I am the breadwinner in my home."
