The actress prominently known for her pretty smile will be seen playing a grim role as a police officer and mother, whose daughter is raped and brutally murdered. This will be the first time the actress will be carrying out a sombre character in contrast to her previous glamorous roles.

In an interview with Reuters, the "Pretty Woman" actress talked about the hurdles she faced while playing the different character of a police officer. The role demanded of displaying extreme emotions from a fun loving extrovert to a shattered person, which was quite stimulating according to the actress, reported the Hollywood Reporter.com.

According to The New York Times, Julia picked the role as an shattered police officer as it made her really get absorbed in it and gave her an opportunity to challenge herself. The Hollywood actress is making a comeback after almost a decade with her new film. She took this break to give priority to her family and focusing on what's more important.
