In the photo, which was posted by the renown chef on his Instagram, Siwon exuded boyish charm. It is notable as one of the final photos to be posted before he traded out his longer locks for a clean military cut.
"I'll just teach you to cook," said Kim, with his encouraging post. "Do well in the army!"
In addition to posing with Kim, Siwon said goodbye to his fans on the November 18 broadcast of "Radio Star."
During his appearance on an episode that was centered around the theme, I'm Sorry, the popular acting idol answered a farewell phone call from program host, Lee Sang Hoon.
Lee recently delivered a guest cameo on "She Was Pretty." He is often recognized for the similarities between his appearance and the Super Junior member.
His military service follows the successful 16-epsiode run of MBC's hit romantic comedy, "She Was Pretty," which merrily concluded on November 11.
"She Was Pretty" was not the first dramatic role for Siwon, whose notable performances include Kang Hyun Min, a megalomaniac Hallyu star in "The King of Dramas" and Dun Helian in the Taiwanese series, "Skip Beat!" However, his nuanced portrayal of the fashion editor endeared new fans and demonstrated his capacity to appear in high-energy, comedic roles.
Siwon enters the military on November 19, along with TVXQ's Changmin, who recently completed the supernatural period drama, "Scholar Who Walks the Night."
