Kate Walsh Couldn't Have Children Because Of Early Menopause
"I don't have children. I'm not going to have kids. I went through early menopause. That happened," Walsh explained during her conversation with Menounos. "Who knows why. It could be a product of our environment. The pill, we don't know," she added.
The actress said that her elder sister also had early menopause and she was the one who suggested Walsh to consult a doctor. Though Walsh had doubts she made sure to make an appointment to have a check-up done.
Kate Walsh Doubted If She Was Less Because She Couldn't Become A Mother
Walsh noted that women are interested in children as well as career. They want to "have it all." She said it is a huge pressure not having both together in life. She said that she doubted if she was anything less if she is unable to become a mother.
"I don't know if you can actually have it all. I think that is actually this American myth. I wouldn't call it a dream," said the actress. "I think it's a bit of a myth in that it's this huge pressure. We're like, 'Wait a minute, am I less than if I'm not a mother? If I'm not a rock star in my career?' I don't know. I'm just rambling. This is what I ponder," she added, reported Perez Hilton.
Walsh revealed after her divorce from Alex Young in 2011 that she felt like a loser for not having children. She admitted that she has always imagined of having a happy married life with three to four kids.
