Google will be rolling out three new versions of "Google Glass" in 2016, out of which one would be without glasses, according to The Information. The optical head-mounted headset was launched by "Project Aura," a child company of Google, in 2013 and was sold for a whooping amount of $1500.

The Executive chairman at Google, Eric Schmidt had previously reported at the start of the year that company is willing to target the potential new market for "Google Glass" and will focus on customer centric products and thus increase its popularity, reported The Telegraph.

According to Business Insider, the prototype with a screen is supposed to be targeted towards the various organizations and the other version would be for those who need to communicate with the internet and the smartphone's data hands-free. The users will be now able to access all the information with their voice as modular input to the device.

Mostly this type of headset would be available for the sports people. The new models of the headsets would be audio controlled and will use bone conduction for transferring sound to the ears without the users having to speak out loud, reported The Information.

The "Project Aura" team for the development for such new versions is headed by Ivy Ross. Recently, the company hired many software engineers, developers and managers at various levels from Amazon's research division.

According to The Wall Street Journal, a software developer from Amazon Labs, Dmitry Svetlov, described the new project on his Social media profile as "Glass and Beyond" and stated that the "Aura" team will soon release new sassy eyewear range.

The development team has been focusing on creating cool range of eyewear in contrast to the earlier products from Google Glass. Google is currently distributing few samples of the new version in various manufacturing, healthcare and energy generation companies, for the purpose of testing.
