Update For Shopaholics: Stores To Remain Open On Thanksgiving Day Until The Weekend

Thanksgiving Day 2015 falls on Nov. 26 and shopaholics are gearing up for the craziest holiday shopping event of the year, according to Chicago CBS local.

Many stores in the U.S. will remain open for the shopping extravaganza on Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. During Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, retailers will offer best of deals for the customers. The primary reason behind the availability of open stores is the upcoming holiday season, which will start from Thanksgiving on Thursday.

The stores open for Thanksgiving are going to have different working hours than their usual timings. Thanksgiving deals always come with great discounts and this year would be no exception from the trend, reported Go Banking Rates.

According to 247Wall St, "Bealls Florida" will open its store on the evening of Nov. 26 at 6 pm and will be open till 1 pm on November 27. A similar trend would be followed by "JCPenny," but the store would be open early from 3 pm until 2 pm of Nov. 27.

"Rite Aid" has gone a step further and will open all its stores by 8 am in the morning and will keep them open until Saturday 5 pm. "Sports Authority" will open its outlets from 6 pm on Thanksgiving Day, but will open by 6 am on the weekend which is November 27th, reported ABC News.

"Toys'R'us" company is trying to market their sales in a different way and will keep its store open from 5 pm on Nov. 26 and will run until 11 pm on the next day.

The other shops which will remain open on the day and promise to offer better deals are "Belk, Best Buy, Burkes Outlet, Five Below, Kohl's, Sears, Target, Meijer, and Dollar General."

According to Turn to 23, last year many stores opted to shut down for Thanksgiving, but this year they are back in the competition. These stores are "Walmart, Bon-Ton, Office Depot & Office Max, Kmart, Big Lots, RadioShack and Walgreens." All of these shops will open by 5pm or 6 pm in the evening.

Many stores have opted out of the league and decide not to keep their stores open on Thanksgiving Day and have offered their staff a long holiday. The names in this list are A.C. Moore, H&M, Bed Bath & Beyond, Costco, GameStop, Half Price Books, Barnes and Noble, Marshalls, DSW, Home Depot, Sam's Club, Staples and Nordstrom.
