In the last few months at least three k-drama actresses have been featured in music videos. Ha Ji Won can be seen in the new PSY video “Daddy” as the teacher a young version of PSY flirts with. He’s so charismatic that she seems flustered.
It’s not the first time she worked with him as she previously did a Cass Light Beer commercial with him in which she reenacted the famous foam kiss scene from “Secret Garden.”
It’s also not her first music video performance. Her last before playing Psy’s teacher was the 2008 video for “Love Story,” sung by Rain.
Jung Ryeo Won, who now stars in the drama “Bubble Gum,” is the sad looking woman who apparently left Nell sitting alone at a table in the evocative new ballad “Lost In Perspective.”
Jung previously appeared in videos for Epik High, Gummy and Alex Chu.
And then Park Shin Hye played Lee Hong Ki’s love interest in the sad love song “Insensible” about a couple growing apart. She was happy to help out a friend by starring in his video but it’s not her first video appearance either.
She and actor Yoo Seung Ho starred in So Ji Sub’s music video “Six O’Clock In The Playground.” She has appeared in music videos for Lee Seung Gi and Kim Jong Kook, among others.
Shin Min Ah has been in several music videos including five for the group g.o.d. Han Ga In appeared in videos for SG Wannabe and Busker Busker. Young actress Kim Yoo Jung has appeared on music videos for Lee Seung Gi and this year Lim Seulong, while her “Moon Embracing The Sun” co-star Kim So Hyun appeared in the 2015 Boyfriend video for “I.Y.A.H.”
Many actresses appear in music videos but a few make music video history.
Park Min Young, who is about to star in “Remember” with Yoo Seung Ho, was the girl who broke up with G-Dragon in the music video for “Haru Haru.”
Song Ji Hyo plays the girl contemplating the end of her life in the video for JYJ’s “In Heaven.”
Yoon So Hee, who played the young Kim Sa Rang in “Beloved Eun Dong,” appeared in both SHINee and EXO music videos. She can be seen in the videos for “Why So Serious” and “Wolf.”
