Eagles of Death Metal, rock band from the United States recently performed on stage with Irish rock band U2, amidst wide speculations and rumors, according to The Independent.

Eagles of Death Metal band performed for the first time after their live performance was disrupted by the terrorist attacks in Paris.

Bono, the lead singer of U2 gave an emotional welcome to the US rock band members at the end of the concert on Monday, December 7.

The appearance of the US rock band was welcomed by all the 16000 audience present in the concert hall with loud applause and a standing ovation. "These are our brothers, our fellow troubadours and they were robbed of their stage three weeks ago and we would like to offer them ours tonight," said Bono, reported Variety.

The Eagles of Death Metal performed Patti Smith's "People Have the Power" and "I Love You all the Time," at the end of the concert.

BBC News reported that earlier there were rumors that U2 will share the stage with Eagles of Death Metal during their two-day concert in Paris. But U2 band members announced on their website before the start of their concert that the rumors were false and there was no truth in it.

U2 was earlier going to perform on November 14 and 15 but due to the deadly terrorist attacks they had to cancel their performance.

Bono expressed his gratitude towards the people of Paris and all the music lovers. "Thank you for welcoming us back and allowing us to tell you a little bit about our lives at a time when your lives have been turned upside down," said U2's lead singer, reported Telegraph.

The U2's "Innocence and Experience Live in Paris" concert was organized at the Accor Hotels Arena to pay their tribute to the victims of ISIS attacks on the French capital.

Bono performed a five song encore including a verse of Jacques Brel, Belgian singer titled "Ne Me Quitte Pas (Don't Leave Me)." The concert was recorded live and was broadcasted over television via HBO network.
