Hwang Jung Eum has confirmed that she is dating. And despite the hard time viewers had deciding between her "She Was Pretty" co-stars, it's neither Park Seo Joon nor Choi Si Won.

The actress is dating a professional golfer and businessman named Lee Young Don.

The couple has been dating for about four months but they were forced to go public with their relationship when they were seen celebrating his birthday together on December 2 at a Seoul restaurant. According to the Korean media outlet The Fact, it was easy to guess that they were more than friends because Hwang and Lee were photographed holding hands after dinner. He took off his coat to protect her from the snow.

Although photographs of the couple appeared in The Fact, it was not until December 8, that her management agency, C-JeS Entertainment confirmed that she was indeed seeing someone.

"It's true that Hwang Jung Eum has begun a relationship with a nice man who she met through a friend," said an agency representative.

The agency did caution that fans should not jump to any conclusions. The couple's relationship was not at the point where marriage would be discussed.

"The two of them just started their relationship so please give them your blessings."

The agency also asked fans to respect Hwang's personal life and in so doing cited her recent popularity. Besides appearing in "She Was pretty" Hwang Jung Eum also starred in the drama "Kill Me, Heal Me" with Ji Sung. The year before that she appeared in another hit, the melodrama "Secrets," also co-starring Ji Sung.

"As much love as Hwang Jung Eum received as an actress this year, we ask for your consideration so that she may also have a happy winter personally. Aside from the above statement, we can't say more as it concerns the actress′ private life, so once again we ask for your understanding."

At 34, Lee is four years older than Hwang. He currently works as a representative for the Japanese Golf Tour Organization.

Hwang broke up with her previous boyfriend Kim Yong Joon, a member of the ballad trio SG Wannabe, in May. Hwang met him when she appeared in one of his music videos. The couple dated for nine years, breaking up shortly after "Kill Me, Heal Me," ended.

On December 8 Kim also announced that he was also dating someone new, a 28-year-old model-turned-actress identified only as Ms. Park. Hwang and Kim have reportedly remained good friends.
