"Max Payne," action thriller video game may witness a re-release on Sony's PlayStation 4, according to Techno Buffalo.
The Entertainment Software Rating Board recently revealed its rating for Max Payne as "M," which implies mature rating for blood and violence. The ESRB also confirmed that the game would be available on modern day gaming console indirectly hinting its release on PlayStation 4 gaming console, reported IGN.
After ESRB announced its rating, rumors have spread that Max Payne which was first published on PS2 console by its developer, Rockstar and created by Remedy Entertainment in 2001, may make its entry to PlayStation 4. The rumors have become strong with Sony Company's recent announcement.
Game Spot reported Sony, Entertainment Company, earlier announced its list of games to be re-released on PS4 platform which included Rockstar's other games like "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto III."
Max Payne falls under the third-person shooting games category full of action sequences. The action game involves many gun fights and surrealistic plots like nightmares and hallucinations.

The only catch is that even if the gamers own the original copy of Max Payne, they will still have to pay for the new version of the game.
The other PlayStation 2 games which are rumored and much awaited by the gamers are "Ape Escape 2, Dark Cloud 2, Twisted Metal 2 and Parappa the Rapper 2."
