The action adventure anime series, One Piece is all set to release its new film "One Piece Film: Gold" next year, according to Realty Today.
The upcoming flick will be the 13th film from the One Piece franchise with a tagline "The Power to Rule the World." The last flick, One Piece Film Z received great accolades from the critics and fans of the series. The official announcement was done by Eiichiro Oda, creator of One Piece series.
Yibada reported that the details about the release date and the new game details have been revealed in the 2016 issue of the "Weekly Shonen" magazine on December 14. The film will be directed by Hiroaki Miyamoto and Eiichiro Oda will be the executive producer of the upcoming flick.
The story is rumored to revolve around the adventures of the Pirate King, Gol D. Rog and Straw Hat Pirates led by Monkey D. Luffy. A new character will also be seen in the upcoming movie.
Crunchy Roll reported that the One Piece film: Gold will be the first venture of Hiroaki on the silver screen. He has earlier directed the One Piece television anime's chapters from 352 to 679, reported Latin Post.
Vine Report reported that the storyline of One Piece Film: Gold is rumored to have been adapted from the earlier One Piece Film: Strong World and One Piece Film: Z. The movie is also speculated to be based on the screenplay written by Tsutomu Kuroiwa, who has earlier worked on action sequences in "The Perfect Insider" and "Black Butler."
The voice actors who will be in the lead role are Mayumi Tanaka as "Luffy," Kazuya Nakai as "Zoro," Kappei Yamaguchi as "Usopp," Akemi Okamura as "Nami," Yuriko Yamaguchi as "Nico," Ikue Otani as "Chopper," Hiroaki Hirata as "Sanji" and Kazuki Yao as "Franky," reported Venture Capital Post.
Anime News Network reported that the pre-sale tickets for the film will start rolling out of December 18 with a gift pack of "Kintaro Luffy," character design file.
The game, One Piece: Burning Blood will be soon published by Bandai Namco Entertainment on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and Xbox One and is developed by Spike Chunsoft.
The One Piece Film: Gold is slated for a July 23 release next year in 2016.
