What's the best gift a girl could receive on their birthday? Perhaps, a romantic proposal which is what Kim got on her birthday. Kanye West proposed to Kim Kardashian on Monday, October 21, her 33rd birthday.
West really wanted to surprise his ladylove as he rented out the whole AT&T Park in San Francisco and even got all the member of the Kardashian family to witness the occasion. He was also a real gentleman as he first asked future mother-in-law Kris Jenner for Kim's hand in marriage with a 15-carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond ring.
West used the field's giant screen to flash the statement: 'PLEEESE MARRY MEEE!!!', E! News reported. Then he serenaded her with 50-piece orchestra that played Lana Del Rey's Young and Beautiful from The Great Gatsby and Keri Hilson, Ne-Yo and Kanye's Knock You Down. After Kardashian said yes to the proposal, fireworks exploded in the sky as the whole Kardashian family ran out to congratulate and hug her.
Jenner is very happy with the engagement. "A match made in heaven!" Kris commented to E! News, "I am so happy for both of my kids, Kim and Kanye."
West and Kardashian have been dating since 2012 and has a 4-month old daughter named North.
West, who does not usually talk about his feeling in public, commented on Kardashian when he appeared on The Kris Jenner show. "I love this person. And she's worth it to me. She's my joy," he said, "And she brought my new joy into the world.
The two have been in the center of wedding rumors for quite some time. In fact, in February 2013, Kardashian told Cosmopolitan, "[Marriage] is something I know that we both want in our future, but I don't have this sense of urgency about it. I have this best friend who understands me and helps me through all my tough experiences, and vice versa, you know? It just feels like this is it for me."
This will be Kardashian's third marriage, People reported. She filed for divorce from Kris Humphries in 2011 after only 72 days of marriage and was finalized June this year. Her first marriage was to music producer Damon Thomas that ended in 2004.
