Actor Yuh Jin Goo was appointed as the youngest Teen Style Icon.
Yuh Jin Goo in 2013 Style Icon Awards (SIA), which took place on October 24, 2013, in CJ E&M Center in Seoul, received the Teen Style Icon award. Yuh Jin Goo, born in 1997, is 16 years old. He broke the record of Suzy Bae.
Yuh Jin Goo commented upon receiving the award, "Thankk you so much. I'm currently filming a movie and a drama, 'Potato Star.' I will work more diligently to live up to this award."
"Style Icon Awards" is the only Korean awards ceremony that gives awards to people who have affected the lifestyle of many, suggesting a new paradigm and style in TV, culture and arts. This year was its sixth ceremony.
"2013 Style Icon Awards" selected a teen style icon based on online votes (30%), rating research (40%), and the scores of SIA judges (30%).
G Dragon, Gong Hyo Jin, Dynamic Duo, Shin Dong Yup, Sista, Lee Suh Jin, and Jung Woo Sung were also selected as Teen Style Icons.
The awards ceremony was aired live in six Korean TV channels in addition to global Channel M and Mnet America in 11 countries, including the United States and Australia .
