'Reply 1988' Cast Has Movie Plans

The cast of "Reply 1988" can be seen on the big screen soon. They won't appear in the same film, but those who grew fond of these actors while watching the drama can at least enjoy their movie performances.

Although Ryu Jun Yeol has appeared in several films, including "Socialphobia" and the Busan Film Festival hit "One Way Trip," he only ever appeared in one drama, "Reply 1988." His success in that will help him land more film roles.

In his upcoming film "No Tomorrow" he plays to son of a salt farm owner. He physically and verbally abuses the workers. The film is based on a real incident that was reported in 2014. The film co-stars Bae Sung Woo, Park Hyo Joo and Lee Hyun Wook.

Ryu Hye Young, who played Sung Bo Ra in "Reply 1988," has roles in two films. She recently finished filming "Haeeohwa," the story of the last gisaengs during World War II. She co-stars in that film with Yoo Yeon Suk and Han Hyo Joo. She will also appear in "Special Citizen," a film about Seoul city politics. her co-stars are Choi Min Sik and Sim Eun Kyung.

Ahn Jae Hong, who played Kim Jung Bong, also has a role in a film that co-stars Sim Eun Kyung. He appears in "Missing You - 2016." Sim plays a girl who was 7 when she lost her father to a serial killer. he waited 15 years for him to be released from prison. The film co-stars Kim Sung Oh and Yoon Je Moon.

Lee Dong Hwi has appeared in several hit films, including "Veteran" and "Tazza: The Hidden Card." He appeared in "Divorce Lawyers in Love" and "The Joseon Gunman" before landing his "Reply 1988" role of Ryu Dong Ryong. he can soon be seen in "Key of Life" with Yoo Hae Jin and Lee Joon. In that film an accident forces an actor and a gangster to trade places. Lee Dong Hwi will also appear in "Light My Fire," which will mark Nam Goong Min's directorial debut. It's a thriller about a mysterious murder, co-starring Oh Jung Se and Park Jin Joo. And he will appear in "One Line" with Im Si Wan.

Go Kyung Pyo has been acting in dramas since 2010 and has several to his credit, including "Flower Boys Next Door" and "Operation Proposal." He's appeared in a few hit films, including "The Admiral: Roaring Currents" and "Coin Locker Girl." Up next is a role in "7 Years Of Night" with Ryu Seung Ryong and Jang Dong Gun. It's the story of a man who feels guilty for accidentally murdering a girl and a man, who wants revenge for his son's death.

Last but not least is Choi Seung Won, who will appear in "The Prison." Choi, who played Sung No Eul, previously appeared in "The Accidental Detective." His next film is "Prison" with Han Suk Kyu and Kim Rae Won.
