Which actors scored a place on the most popular celebrity list in Korea for 2015?
While first place was taken by the group EXO, actor Yoo Ah In took second place. Yoo is currently appearing in the drama "Six Flying Dragons" and can be seen in the film "Like For Likes." He won critical praise for two of the films he appeared in last year, "Veteran" and "The Throne." he won 12 awards at end-of-the-year ceremonies and starred in six television commercials.
Singer-actress Hyeri came in third place, which was probably helped by her popular role in the nostalgic drama "Reply 1988. She became a sought-after commercial model after the drama's double-digit ratings, appearing in eight commercials.
Kim Soo Hyun, star of "Who You Came From The Stars," landed in eighth place because of his international popularity and the number of commercials he did. His co-star Jun Ji Hyun reached eighth place for her roles in that popular drama and in the critically acclaimed film "Assassination."
Cha Seung Won followed his role in "You're All Surrounded" with a stint on the reality show "Three Meals A Day," landing him in 11th place. Hwang Jung Min, who appeared in "Veteran," "Ode To My Father" and "The Himalayas," reached 14, while Yoo Hae Jin, who co-starred with Hwang in "Veteran, landed in 22nd place. Ha Jung Woo, who also had a major role in "Assassination," was in 23rd place, while Lee Jung Jae, another one of the stars in that film landed in 24th place.
The final ten included Lee Kwang Soo at 30, Lee Min Ho at 31, AOA singer and actress Seolhyun at 33 and Oh Dal Soo at 38. miss A's Suzy Bae, who appeared in the film "Dorihwaga," was in 39th place, while international film star Lee Byung Hun landed last at 40.
Forbes Korea has published the "Korea Power Celebrity 40" list since 2009. Ranking is decided by sales, media exposure, TV appearances and how professional the celebrities are. Athletes, emcees, comedians and singers were also included on the list.
