Actors alongside Kim Min-seok were Lee Jung-yeol, Kim Soon-taek, Lee Jin-ki (Onyu), Lee Jae-kyun, Cha Hak-yeon, Lee Ji-sook, Choi Soo-jin, Lee Seong-yeol, Ko Eun-gyu, and Yoon Ji-sung attended the production presentation session to demonstrate the main scenes.

The 2019 Army Creative Musical 'Return: That Day's Promise', which was a big topic with its colorful lineup, is about finding the unresolved remains of the Korean soldiers who gave their lives for the country during the Korean War.

'Return: That Day's Promise," is about the excavation of the remains of fallen soldiers ahead of the 70th anniversary of the Korean War next year. The plan was designed to create a national consensus so that the joint excavation of fallen South and North Korean soldiers buried in the Demilitarized Zone can proceed smoothly.

The play will revolve around "Seung-ho," a veteran who spends his life searching for the remains of his comrades. Onyu and Xiumin played the role of "Seung-ho" when they were young.

"About 133,000 soldiers still cannot return to their loved ones," said Park Mi-ae, chief of the Army's public affairs office. "We chose this material because it is the military's mission to send patriots to their families."

Through the protagonist who spent his entire life wandering through the mountains in search of the remains of the deceased comrades and keeping the promises of the day, we are going to give a heartwarming impression that we must not forget.

The Army headquarters selected the actors through an audition for the entire army. It started full-fledged practice last month and its production cost was $2.6 billion (2.6 billion KRW).

Since the second half of last year, the K-pop industry has been the rush of idol groups to join the military. From SHINee Onyu to EXO's Xiumin, Jo Kwon, Infinite's Sung Kyu, and Sung Yeol, VIXX N and Wanna One's Yoon Ji-sung, a number of top idols have become members of the Defense Ministry.

"I'm studying a lot in vocalization because it's my first musical challenge," said EXO Xiumin (29, Kim Min-seok) at a production presentation at Blue Square iMarket Hall. "I'm very determined because Jin-gi (On-Yu), who is my senior singer, has kindly informed me of everything as a soldier."

The musical 'Return: That Day's Promise,' will be held at the Olympic Park Woori Art Hall which started October 22 and will end until December 1.
