PD of Encounter Offering Kim Soo-Hyun A Lead Role In A New Romance Drama

Psycho But It's Okay depicts the love story between a storybook writer who has an antisocial personality disorder and a community health worker at a psychiatric ward. The two will end up starting to have a romance with one another that will challenge their fate in spite of having different opinions and beliefs in relationships and love.

Kim Soo-Hyun will play the role of Moon Kang-Tae who is working as a community health worker. His character was described as someone who already has everything that a person could ask for which includes a skill to understand the feelings of other people, intellect, and good looks. He will also have an elder brother who is suffering from autism. Aside from that, it is also said that Moon Kang-Tae will receive a salary of 1.8 million won or $1,520 every month based on the character description.

The actress Park Shin-Hye, on the other hand, was offered to play the role of the female lead role in the upcoming series.

Psycho But It's Okay might be the first drama of Kim Soo-Hyun in four years if he will accept the offer. But before he began to enter his mandatory military service in 2017, he starred in the film Real in the same year. It was announced that on July 1, 2019, the actor will be discharged from the service.

Recently, Kim Soo-Hyun was featured in the drama 'Hotel del Luna' and only has a small-roles. He also played different roles in one of the highest-rated Korean dramas and most popular since 2019 which is the 'Moon Embracing The Sun' which was aired in 2012 and My Love From The Star which was aired around 2013-2014.

One of the announced latest projects of PD Park Shin-Woo was the upcoming series, Psycho But It's Okay. He is also the one who directed the box-office hit series Jealousy Incarnate in 2016 and Encounter in 2018. The screenwriter, Jo Yong-Hae, who writes the series Jugglers from 2017 to 2018, was announced to be the writer of the said upcoming film.

Psycho But It's Okay is set to be released in 2020
