Before the singer-actress Sulli died, she had been filming the second season of Netflix's Korean anthology series "Persona." The first season was released earlier this year which starred IU (Lee Ji-eun) as its lead actress and had gained a massive amount of followers. "Persona 2" which features the late and beloved actress Sulli was supposedly scheduled to air in the first half of 2020.
During an interview with Mystic Story, producer of the series, they said "Sulli had already finished filming two of the five-set of episodes before she died. As of the moment, we haven't decided if we would have another actress film the remaining episodes or just release a two-episode mini-series. Right now, that's the only information we can give since we're still in the processing of mourning."
"Sulli was thrilled when we first reached out to her regarding this project. We had discussed the scenes with five directors and read the script. Nobody was expecting this kind of loss." They added.
The series gained a cult following for its unique concept - one protagonist plays in five contrasting stories filmed by five diverse selection of directors.
