Yum Jung Ah's agency announced on November 29 that the actress was in negotiations for the leading role in the new film by PD Jo Hyun Tak, stating, "She is currently in the midst of evaluating a casting offer for the film Second Mother."

"Second Mother" is originally a Brazillian film. It'll be remade and released in Korea soon. It is the story of a house-help who lives away from her daughter but is raising her rich employer's son. After a decade, she finally lives with her daughter but they don't meet eye-to-eye.

The movie will be directed by Jo Hyun Tak, who has recently worked on the hit drama "SKY Castle" with Yum Jung Ah and is scheduled to start filming in early 2020.
Meanwhile, Yum Jung Ah is preparing to release her new movie, "Ignition," which will hit theaters on December 18.
