About The Leading Stars of TVN's New Drama "Psycho But It's Okay"
A source from tvN stated that "Seo Ye Ji is in talks to star in "Psycho But It's Okay." People may be vying Seo Ye Ji and Kim Soo Hyun in a new drama from tvN soon.
A source from the drama industry who stated that Seo Ye Ji has been chosen as the leading female character in the drama "Psycho But It's Okay" (literal title), the same drama that Kim Soo Hyun is in talks for. So if she agrees to play the lead role, Seo Ye Ji is going to play the character Go Moon Youn, who is a very popular author in a children's book. In this role, she plays a person who suffers from a disorder called antisocial personality disorder (ASPD). In this story, she suffers from bullying as a child and she began to detach from her emotions leaving her emotionless and she was not able to socialize with other children and people. When she grew up she became a children's book author. In addition to the story, she also grew up with her parents who are a novelist and a professor of the Korean language at a top university.
Kim Soo Hyun the lead actor plays the role of a nurse named Moon Kang Tae of the psychiatry department. His role is blessed by Gods or deities with everything from physical strength, stamina, charisma, reflexes, endurance, superior empathy, to a great body, a handsome face and a brilliant mind. Also, to be fair to everyone, deities gave him a heavy responsibility to carry throughout his life. Moon Kang Tae has to live with his 8-year-older brother who has autism.
The upcoming drama "Psycho But It's okay" is a fantasy romance and will be featuring a story about a community health worker working in a psychiatric ward he only earns about 1.8 million won (~$1,600 USD) a month. He will be meeting a children's book author who has an antisocial personality disorder (ASPD). It is about a man who rejects love and a woman who knows nothing about love face and overcome the challenges given to then and then they would find their lost souls and true self trough love.
This drama marks the return of Kim Soo Hyun after 5 years. "The Producers" was the last drama he filmed in 2015. After a lot of thinking and studying, the actor eventually chose this particular drama.
Psycho But It's okay is set to be directed by a well known producing director (PD) Park Shin Woo, who also directed "Don't Dare to Dream (Jealousy Incarnate)" and "Encounter". The screenwriter is Jo Yong of "jugglers". The drama is set to air in the first half of 2020.
