KBS Entertainment is an event done annually and it is sponsored by the KBS network. The awards ceremony will last approximately 140 minutes long and is shown in two parts on KBS2.
The ceremony will show performances from K-pop artists and music parodies from Gag Concert members. This awards ceremony is held at the end of every year, except in the year 2017, the Entertainment Awards did not push through due to the KBS Variety Director Strike.
On the 20th of December KBS declared the six Daesang Nominees for its upcoming annual awards ceremony. The said nominees Lee Kyung Kyu, Lee Young Ja, Kim Sook, Jun Hyun Moo, the fathers of "The Return of Superman," and Kim Seung Hyun's family are in the running to win this year's top prize at the 2019 KBS Entertainment Awards.
The first woman to win the Daesang at the KBS Entertainment Awards is Lee Young Ja. She won the said award just last year and for the second time this year, she is nominated and will have the chance to win the award once again. The comedienne has been impressing viewers on her very new KBS variety show titled "Funstaurant".
Accompanying her in the list of nominees is her fellow comedienne Kim Sook who is also a third woman in history to be nominated for the KBS Entertainment Award Daesang. Lee Young Ja's nomination last year made her the second woman in history to be nominated. The Top excellence in Talk and Show awardee Kim Sook is right now appearing in many KBS Variety Shows naming "Boss in the Mirror", "Battle Trip" and "Problem Child in House".
On the other hand, Lee Kyung Kyu, who went home with the Daesang at the 2010 KBS Entertainment Awards nine years ago is nominated once again as the main star of "Funstaurant". At the same time, Jun Hyun Moo has been nominated for his presence on KBS variety shows like "Boss in the Mirror" and "Happy Together."Lastly, the fathers and head of the hit reality show "The Return of Superman"-Sam Hammington, Park Joo Ho, Moon Hee Jun, Hong Kyung Min, and Do Kyung Wan-also made the list of nominees together as one team. On the same note, Kim Seung Hyun's family, who have stolen hearts on the reality show "Mr. House Husband," have also been nominated as one group.
