On January 8, 2020, a drama industry member announced to IIgan Sports that Park Shi Yoo is yet to star in an upcoming historical drama entitled "Win and Cloud and Rain." Reports then added that Park Shi Yoo's representative cleared that Park Shi Yoo is still in talks with the production company about starring in the new drama.
If Park Shi Yoo takes on the role, he will be taking on the role of Choi Chun Joon, Joseon's greatest fortune teller, and physiognomist. He will be a hero of the chaotic and unfortunate times and will be the king of Joseon's people. Choi Chun Joon holds a strong ambition of forming a new and better nation after abolishing Joseon which has been destroyed by men with abusive power. Choi Chun Joong, a strong man with attractive physical attributes is a sophisticated man who excels in a lot of things such as martial arts, gambling, dancing, and singing.
Not to mention he is considered to be a romantic who will give up everything for the woman that he loves. With his brilliant mind, he will be able to create a miracle, turning Yi Ha Eung the most powerful man in Joseon, Lee Jae Hwang into a King, a girl from the streets named and Min Ja Young, into Joseon's empress.
The drama will let viewers reminisce about the reality of today through the mysterious and brilliant story that the drama will bring. The historical drama, "Wind and Cloud and Rain" will show scenes of cleverness, chaos, romance, and hopefulness that will surely blow the minds of viewers. Also, with the female lead's brilliant psychic abilities, the story will be more interesting and extraordinary.
The new series will be directed by director Yoon Sang Ho who has directed several dramas such as Love Like a Human, Wind and Cloud and Rain, Different Dreams, Saimdang, Light's Diary, Bride of the Century, Saving Mrs. Go Bong Shil, Birdie Buddy, Tamra, the Island, The Story of the First and King's Four Gods and it is also written by scriptwriter Bang Ji Young. The historical drama is anticipated to premiere sometime in spring 2020.
Park Shi Hoo is an award-winning South Korean actor who has starred in several successful dramas such as "Delightful Girl" in 2005 which is his first-ever appearance in television, "Choon Hyang" and he became even more popular with his roles in "Queen of Reversals" in 2010, "Prosecutor Princess" in 2010, "The Princess' Man" in 2011, "Cheongdam-dong Alice" in 2012, "Neighborhood Hero" in 2016 and "My Golden Life" in 2017 to 2018.
He has been awarded several titles such as Best Actor, Popularity Actor Award, and Best Couple Award in the drama, "The Princess' Man" during the 2011 KBS Drama Awards on December 31, 2011. He was also awarded titles Excellent Actor (long-length drama), Best Couple Award of the drama "My Golden Life" during the 2017 KBS Drama Awards on December 31, 2017
