Kim Min Joon attended as a special guest on an episode of the SBS's variety program entitled "My Ugly Duckling" on the 12th of January.

He was questioned about his recent marriage to Dami Kwon, G-Dragon's sister, the actor immediately replied that he is very happy and he's feeling at peace right now. He feels that he became a lot healthier.

The actor was also charmingly surprised after being informed that Dami Kwon had formerly entered the "Top 500 Most Influential People in the World's Fashion Industry" list.

He later looked back on how he was introduced to his current wife Dami Kwon as he shares that one of his juniors asked if wanted to go on a blind date and he was well aware that she was G-Dragon's older sister. Actually the junior told him to try Just try meeting her without being biased, the junior said "she's a good friend of mine" so Kim Min Joon agreed on the meeting.

As they continued, Kim Min Joon then talked about meeting his in-laws for the first time as well. He said that he tried his best to look confident but he was actually feeling really nervous. He continued to share that his in-laws have a cat and it greeted him while waving its tail.

He was glad that the house pet was very welcoming but as soon as he tried to touch it, the cat reacted and scratched him and he had bleeding after the scratch. Eventually, he thinks the atmosphere became one where they thought "We should be good to him.'"

With regards to his first meeting with the famous singer and songwriter G-Dragon, Kim Min Joon stated that they met when he was out on a break from the military. He felt that it was a little bit awkward. And he felt very nervous.

Kim Min Joon also shared that when his older sister brought home the person she wanted to marry he was really fussy so at that time he realized, "Oh I should've been nicer to my brother-in-law." But eventually, he learned that G-Dragon has already approved of him by asking several people that he knows in the industry. He was relieved to know that he passed the so-called "document screening process."

The famous singer and songwriter G-Dragon had apparently asked Dami Kwon, "I heard you're dating a celebrity. Who is it?' It turns out that he asked around about the actor, and he said that Kim Min Joon was okay, so the actor felt relieved."

Seo Jang Hoon then opened up about G-Dragon's recent coffee truck gift for the actor, Kim Min Joon responded, that both their personalities are actually quite alike. They act indifferent while caring for others. Apparently he threw two hats at Dami Kwon when they met. When she asked, what was that, he replied, "One for you, and one for Kim Min Joon hyung."
