The internet has been raving recently about how child actress, Koo Sa Rang, has been abusing her cat. Koo Sa Rang is a popular child actress and she also owns an official Youtube channel where she uploaded a video where she shows the things that famous BTS member, Jimin gave her as a present for her birthday on December 31, 2019.
Koo Sa Rang performed with BTS boy band on December 25 last year at the 2019 SBS Gayo Daejeon Music Festival. She received a box full of BTS merchandise and created an unboxing video showing what she got. In the video, as Koo Sa Rang's cat attempt to go inside the box and play with the contents of the box, she immediately took the cat and pushed, threw and even hit the poor cat several times. Koo Sa Rang was roughly hurting her cat and saying that she told her not to touch it.
Many people in the internet who saw the video of Koo Sa Rang got really furious and pointed out that the child actress was hurting and abusing her cat. A lot of netizens say that this is not the first time. Koo Sa Rang was seen hurting her cat multiple times according to the people that watch her videos. Because of this, Koo Sa Rang and her parents have been receiving hate comments, fire and beef for what was seen in the video and became a trending news in South Korea. Because of a lot of hate and backlash received by the family, it was later on deleted from social media.
The mother of child actress, Koo Sa Rang, apologized for the her child's behavior in the video where Koo Sa Rang looked like she was abusing her cat. On the 19th day of January, Koo Sa Rang's mother posted on twitter, apologizing as she greeted everyone hello, she mentions that she is extremely sorry. She was not able to reply to everybody who is messaging her so she just posted instead. She says that Koo Sa Rang is reflecting and thinking about her behavior and what she has done. She also defends Koo Sa Rang saying that she was hyperactive because of overflowing happiness received from the BTS group.
Koo Sa Rang has apologized to her cat and says that she will be more careful and will give out better treatment for her cat with love. She continues her post writing, "As her parents, we should have taught her better, and we are reflecting on ourselves for not having done so. I once again apologize for causing concern to many people." A lot of opinions from the public are different. Some say that their parents should know better on how to discipline their child's behavior but some also say that this is getting way out of proportion because she is just a child, she is growing and still learning.
We all hope that this controversy will all teach us to respect not only animals but each other as well. Just like the cat, we all deserve to be treated well with respect.
