A great Korean drama story wouldn't be complete without a leading lady who will give us the feels in every episode and will make us insecure by their ageless beauty.
We will give you a list of the first generation leading ladies in K-drama land that we know of. Some of them are still very well known in the industry as of today. Let us see if you could still remember them.
1. Song Hye Kyo
We have first witnessed her beauty in the first installment of Endless Love "Autumn in My Heart." After that, she starred in the hit rom-com titled "Full House" with Rain. 2. Choi Ji Woo
Choi Ji Woo played the character of Jung Yoo Jin in the drama "Winter Sonata" with Bae Young Joon as her leading man. She was also the main leading woman in the melodrama "Stairway to Heaven" together with actor Kwon Sang Woo and soon after they were reunited in the 2014 drama titled "Temptation."
She also appeared in her first cable drama titled "Twenty Again" and also in "Woman with the Suitcase" playing the role of the leading woman Cha Geum Joo.
3. Jang Na Ra
Jang Na Ra was debuted first as a musician and became popular in South Korea and China. Jang Na Ra was seen in the drama "Bright Girl" way back in 2002. She was especially recognized for her many dramas like "Wedding", "Baby-faced beauty", "School 2013" and "Hello, Monster".
The actress became more famous because of her most outstanding performance in the Korean version of "Fated to Love You" together with her Bright Girl leading man, Jang Hyuk. Her drama "Confession Couple" premiered last October 2017 also became a big hit.
4. Kim Tae Hee
Kim Tae Hee is known to be one of the most stunning and gorgeous actresses in South Korea. She made an amazing performance portraying her villain character in the drama "Stairway to Heaven". The actress achieved her main role in the dramas "Love Story in Harvard", "Iris" and "My Princess".
Kim Tae Hee was also the female lead in the award-winning drama "Yong Pal" alongside actor Joo Won. Now the actress is happily married to the famous celebrity Rain,
5. Lee Young Ae
Lastly, Lee Young Ae the most famous "Queen" of Korean historical dramas. Her portrayal of Dae Jang Geum also known as Jewel in the Palace was a great success. The said drama was actually loved by the viewers and kept on watching it over and over again.
Soon after her 12-years of rest the entertainment industry, she portrayed another Korean historical figure in the drama titled "Saimdang."
