TV series "When the Weather is Fine" has been halted for a week due to the coronavirus pandemic. Nonetheless, we're still looking forward to knowing what comes after the blossoming relationship between Hye Won and Eun Seob.
The last scene left Hye Won (Park Min Young) spending the night in the bookstore. Eun Seob (Seo Kang Joon) offered her a vacant room to sleep in. They felt happy and enjoyed doing all the daily activities together.
In the latest episode, Hye Won met with a special woman in her life. The woman, Myeong-Joo, arrived in a small village with a happy mood. As she walked along, Hye Won came from the market and saw her. Then, flashbacks began and showed a young girl was brought by her mother to the small village. The child realized at the time that she will start to live with her grandmother. The past also showed how her mother faced the police for an interrogation on the night of a crime. That very incident changed their lives forever.
Myeong-Joo told the investigator that she never stepped on the brake. Her husband was standing and as the car continued to move, it then hit him. Her confession that night led the court to find Myeong-Joo guilty for the death of her spouse. Hye Won's face was shocked to hear the verdict and looked at her mother as she walked inside a room with policemen in tow. Hye Won visited her mother in jail but Myeong-Joo did not want to see her. This moment broke Hye Won's heart.
That same day, Myeong-Joo met her younger sister and renovated their old house. Myung-yeo and Hye Won discussed Myeong-Joo's behavior to the whole family. Over the years, Myeong Joo remained a cold, mean heart. The three women spent dinner together in a small shop. But most of the time, they did not talk. The whole town knows the verdict, and when Myeong-Joo arrived, everyone seemed curious.
Eun Seob returned the books he borrowed at a big shop in the city-owned by Hin-Dol. He shared with Eun Seob how pretty Myeong-Joo was during high school. Eun Seob disregarded the discussion and went out of the shop. He went to a coffee shop and sat down. After a few minutes, Bo Young showed up. They started talking about Bo Young's concern.
Across the building, Hye Won bought flowers and as she stepped out saw both of them together. Hye Won felt weak and down, prompting her to take the bus home.
With a heavy heart and confusion about her mother's presence, Hye Won confronted her mother. She questioned for the longest time why her own mother never cared about her feelings. She told her about the loneliness and abandonment she experienced. Myeong-Joo did not talk back as Hye Won told her to leave the house in the morning.
The following day, Myeong-Joo handed a letter to Eun Sob. She instructed him to give it to Hin-Don as she was leaving already. As she left the bookstore, Hye Won saw and asked Eun Seob why she visited the place. She shared how her mother treated her since she was young. She poured her heart out while telling him the sadness her mother made her feel for never expressing her affection. Eun Seob comforted her and invited her to make a special night in the bookstore. They watched an old film and Hye Won started to smile again.
The past life that Hye Won experienced made her vulnerable. It is no wonder that Eun Seob's caring ways makes her feel at peace.
