On June 5, Shin Hye Sun shares her feelings about working with veteran actress Bae Jong Ok in the upcoming film "Innocence."

To be viewed on June 10, "Innocence" is about a woman named Jung In (Shin Hye Sun), a lawyer trying to prove the innocence of her mother, Hwang Ja (Bae Jong Ok). Her mother was strongly accused of murdering someone after they found out the rice wine was poisoned during her father's funeral. However, Hwang Ja suffers from memory loss. Hence, she cannot defend herself.

Shin Hye Sun added that the role that she is playing now has its similarities to the role she played in "Stranger." Both of these characters work in the legal field, trying to defend their parents.

The actress also stated the differences between the two. Young Eun Soo in "Stranger" grew up in an aristocrat family while Jung In comes from a low-income family, not to mention that Jung In suffers from an inferiority complex and has a different density of trauma. This led to her portrayal of her new role different from her past role.

The film "Innocence" claims to be a story of solving the mystery and has an unexpected flow of events. The revelation of the secrets seems to be more slow and calm and the focus is more on the history of the characters than on the current predicament that they are in.

The title of the films gives viewers a story about a daughter trying to prove her mother's innocence, but that's not all. It involves a series of emotions between both of them and the unexpected decisions that Jung In makes.

Shin Hye Sun confessed that she had a hard time understanding her character's emotions. However, she was able to gradually comprehend her during the filming process. She also said that she was quite nervous about working with Bae Jong Ok, but the nervousness she felt disappeared when she felt Bae Jong Ok's physical and emotional support during the filming. She felt like she was her real mother and inspired Shin Hye Sun with her innocent passion.

Shin Hye Sun started her acting career by taking small roles in hit dramas "School 2013" and "Oh My Ghostess." Due to her hard work, she landed a big role in the popular drama "My Golden Life."

Currently, she is preparing herself for her first-ever starring role in "Innocence," which she says makes her a lot nervous. Shin Hye Sun added that this had been her dream since she was young, and she can only describe what she feels now with words. She said that playing a big role in a film is very nice.

"Innocence" was originally set to premiere on June 5, but due to the ongoing pandemic, it was moved to June 10. As much as Shin Hye Sun was heartbroken that the premiere was postponed, she just wished that the pandemic would soon pass.

Lastly, Shin Hye Sun advised to always practice social distancing rules and wear masks, especially watching the film's premiere.
