Who would ever forget these classic love stories that made everyone fall in love, feel the butterflies, and basically take the viewers on an emotional rollercoaster? Each started a plot depicting the couple's romance until they go through trials and tribulations that will test their love. Soon enough, these stories became famous not only in South Korea but across Asian countries.
"Endless Love" is the classic Korean drama tetralogy by KBS from 2000 to 2006. Director Yoon Seok Ho launched four titles: "Autumn in My Heart," "Winter Sonata," "Summer Scent," and "Spring Waltz." And indeed, these dramas produced or became the breakthrough of the Korean actors and actresses who we now recognize as the most prominent stars.

SONG HYE KYO
The timeless Korean beauty - who doesn't know her? Her success started in "Autumn in My Heart" (2000), where she played the role of Yoon Eun-Suh. During birth, she lost her biological mother. As she was switched as a baby, she was returned to her mother's care when she reached her teenage years. This series became a global hit, and her face was all around the web every second.
Many roles have followed after, such as in "All In" (2003), "Full House" (2004), "That Winter, the Wind Blows" (2013), and many more. The drama followed from one after the other brought her international fame in the early 2000s.
Song Hye Kyo's recent works include "Descendant of the Sun" (2016) and "Encounter" (2018). She made a mark as one of the Hallyu stars in Korean drama.
SONG SEUNG HEON
Song Seung Heon, in character as Yoon Joon-Suh, partnered with Eun-Suh (Song Hye Kyo). They starred in "Autumn in My Heart" that gained sky-high ratings. He also starred in "Summer Scent," one of the parts of the "Endless Love" series. He appeared twice and made a name for his acting performance.
Even today, he is still one of the original K-drama actors who is still sought-after leading man today. He currently appears in MBC's "Dinner Mate" with actress Seo Ji Hye.
CHOI JI WOO
Choi Ji Woo is one of the most popular characters in the "Endless Love" for starring in "Winter Sonata." It launched the Hallyu wave with its success, extending outside the borders of Asia.
Choi Ji Woo played the role of Yoo-jin, whose first love (Bae Young Joon) suffered from amnesia after a car accident. He cannot remember anything until they meet again after a decade.
In the latest 2020 top-rated K-drama "Crash Landing On You," Choi Ji Woo made a cameo as herself and met up with North Korean soldier Kim Ju-Meok. In the early 2000s, she is popular in her role as "Stairway to Heaven" (2003) and "Temptation" (2014). Last month, Ji Woo, at the age of 44, gave birth to a healthy baby girl.
WON BIN
Won Bin is one of the original actors who gave us second lead syndrome in "Autumn in My Heart." He played the character as the old friend of Joon-Suh and fell in love with Eun-Suh. He appeared in movies "Mother" (2009) and "The Man from Nowhere" (2010). No drama series of films he plans to join at the moment.
SON YE JIN
In character as Yoon Se Ri in "Crash Landing on You," the fashionable heiress who fell in love with Captain Ri, Son Ye Jin starred as Shim Hye-won in "Endless Love" third installment, "Summer Scent." Her blockbuster films, such as "The Classic" (2003), and "A Moment to Remember" (2004). The success of her latest drama series, "Crash Landing On You," gained record-breaking ratings in cable television history.
