Everytime our favorite Kdrama celebrities and K-pop idols take a hiatus to perform their mandatory duty in the military service, we just couldn't help ourselves but wait until the day they are discharged.

Too many to mention, but we indeed missed a lot of actors when they had to take a two-year hiatus to serve the country through their military enlistment. And given that one by one of them are returning, our hearts are full. Now, one of our favorite actors, Jang Geun Suk from "Beethoven Virus" (2008) has been discharged last May!

If you missed him like us, catch him on June 28, Sunday, at 3:00 p.m. KST for his first fan meeting. "Online STAGE_夢 Dreams" will be streamed through the actor's YouTube channel PrinceJKS.

Supposedly, the actor planned an event where he could interact with his fans, but the recent resurgence of the COVID-19 prompted the event to be postponed.

The actor plans to meet his fans locally and internationally. The organizers also added that they will enable the comment section during the streaming so the actor could interact with his fans.

Although this is very unconventional, this is the only way the actor could show how much he appreciates his fans by doing so. With this, many are excited to welcome the actor, and he is known as the "Prince of Asia" due to his overwhelming popularity locally, as well as in China and Japan.

Aside from his online event, Jang Geun Suk appeared on Kim Young Chul's PowerFM to greet his fans, and he has also recently amazed his fans with his photos from his pictorial with ARENA magazine.

Jang Geun Suk's enlistment

Army or Marine Corps, Navy, and Air Force are among the branches of the Korean mandatory military service, and they differ in the number of months. Joining the Air Force is the longest among the three, where you have to be of service for one year and nine months. However, since he was diagnosed with a bipolar disorder, Jang Geun Suk served civic duty.

Previously referred to as manic-depressive illness or manic depression, bipolar disorder is a mental disorder where there is a sudden shift in the person's mood, energy, activity level, and concentration, hindering the person with the disorder from doing its day-to-day activities. The extreme mood swings could include mania or hypomania and sudden switch to depression, making the actor unfit to do military service that may worsen his illness.
