In her 20s, she would return to Korea back and forth for some time. An agency representative found and approached her. Eventually, she was offered acting projects. Though she was hesitant at first, Seo Ye Ji finally accepted after a few persuasions. The agency thought of giving her a timeline to work in three months and stop if she feels it's not fit for her.

Seo Ye Ji appeared in 2013 as a commercial model in a telecommunications company. She then joined in a new sitcom Potato Star by producer Kim Byung-Wook. Throughout 120 episodes, she learned acting under the guidance of PD Kim.

In the next project, she appeared in The Night Watchman and showed her acting skills in different settings, a historical drama in the Joseon Dynasty. She also starred in Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth as Princess Sook-Myung.

This year, she returned as a rich and famous children's writer with behavioral issues in It's Okay to Not Be Okay. The show's sophisticated calligraphy, visual effects, and storyline further raise the expectations of her fans.
