Sending coffee or food trucks to their fellow actors is one way of showing or expressing that they wish the drama success and smooth filming. Korean celebrities, as they receive a sponsored truck, they take pictures to show their appreciation for the support given. For Lee Jae Wook, it is something special since this is his first lead role in a drama series.
On July 30, netizens witnessed again how Kim Sae Ron supported her friend Lee Jae Wook by sending him a coffee truck in the set of his upcoming drama "Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol" (literal title). On the banner, a message from Kim Sae Ron is written, "Lee Jae Wook is lucky to have a junior schoolmate like me."
The actor took a picture in front of the coffee truck with a personalized photo in his cup and posted it on his Instagram account. He also messaged the actress, "Lee Jae Wook is lucky to have a senior actor like Kim Sae Ron." He added as well that he was popular on the set and the stickers look nice and cute with his close-up picture in every cup.
Netizens then wondered how the two actors became friends when there was no drama or film that they have starred together. Viewers thought that it would be fun casting both actors in one drama and seeing their chemistry on the small screen.
Followers both actors means witnessing the two interacting on SNS as they discuss and share thoughts about the weather, grabbing fried chicken, and everyday mundane stuff.
For the record, the two actors are students of Chung-Ang University. Lee Jae Wook is Kim Sae Ron's senior in school, he is also two years older than the actress. Regarding Kim Sae Ron, she started and debuted first in the entertainment industry. That's why the actor would address Kim Sae Ron as "sunbae-nim."
Both actors are in the Department of Performing Arts. They would have shared a few notes and pointers in school about acting and theater since they became good friends.
Kim Sae Ron last appeared in the drama "Leverage" in 2019 and now with her new agency, Gold Medalist, together with Kim Soo Hyun and Seo Ye Ji.
On the other hand, Lee Jae Wook on his first leading role will transform into the chic but warm Sun Woo Joon. In the upcoming drama, his character will somewhat like aloof, quiet, kindhearted, and a delicate person, a much different from his previous role in "When The Weather is Fine," a funny and energetic Jang Woo.
The actor did get good support since this will be the second coffee truck he recieved while filming the drama. The other one was from actor Hyun Bin who expressed his fondness of the actor three days ago.
The upcoming romantic-comedy "Do Dol Sol Sol La La Sol" tackles the story of a pianist played by Go Ara and an expert part-timer Sun Woo Joon. They both met at the "La La Land" in a small countryside village.
The drama will then premiere on August 26 at 9:30 PM KST holding 16 episodes, 1 hour each episode.
