Two of the rising stars of 2020 - Han So Hee and Ahn Bo Hyun - are to possibly join forces in one of Netflix's original series, "Nemesis."
It was reported on August 5th and shared by actor Ahn Bo Hyun's agency, FN Entertainment, that he is in talks for the leading role of the drama.
"The actor just finished meeting with the production team of 'Nemesis.' However, we are still waiting for the entire script to come out, so Ahn Bo Hyun can decide," an FN Entertainment official said.
Earlier in June, Han So Hee was also in the headlines for possibly playing the female lead in "Nemesis," which was previously referred to as "Undercover." According to the actress' agency, 9ato Entertainment, Han So Hee is positively considering the role, though until now, nothing has been confirmed by the actress.
"Nemesis" is about a woman who joins the organized crime gang to avenge her father's death. She works hard to develop her fighting skills, and goes undercover in the police force. If there will be confirmation of Han So Hee's participation, she will be playing the female lead, Seo Ji Woo. With the title and plot, it would be an action suspense-thriller which is quite different from her previous role in "The World of the Married."
While to give more excitement as to how both actors will cross paths, Ahn Bo Hyun will possibly portray the character of Jeon Pil Do. His character is a Judo player. Still, because of his past, he became a detective and is also seeking revenge.
Both actors rise in popularity from their respective top high-rated drama series in the first half of 2020. They performed well and highly immersed themselves in their past roles, which made the viewers look forward in seeing them again.
Han So Hee gained popularity in her role in "The World of the Married." Since then, she became one of the anticipated headliners and news breakers around. It has also been reported that "The World of the Married" will be airing on Netflix this month. Hence, expect that Han So Hee will be loved and hated once again on many social media platforms.
Meanwhile, Ahn Bo Hyun just finished attending the cast's first script reading for another upcoming drama, "Kairos." He landed one of the male lead roles in a traveling-mystery show. The actor gained wider attention earlier this year when he was one of the hated villains in the series, "Itaewon Class." He then said that things changed in his life afterward. His social media accounts got a lot of followers, and projects and commercials were pouring in.
Han So Hee and Ahn Bo Young will then be one of the actors that will be playing significant roles in must-watch dramas in the second half of 2020. According to the reports, "Nemesis" will start filming next month.
Another exciting part of the upcoming drama is that director Kim Ji Min will direct the show, the director who is responsible for the production of Netflix's "Extracurricular."
