Hallyu star Park Bo Gum has officially entered the Korean navy band today to serve his mandatory military duty.
Last May, the 27-year-old star decided to apply for a naval band and honor guard unit. The good news is that the actor was found qualified to be a member specializing in the piano. Park Bo Gum's basic military training is said to begin at the Navy Education and Training Command in Changwon, South Gyeongsang province before transferring to the Navy headquarters in the central city of Gyeryong, officials stated.
The South Korean actor will start his mandatory service with basic military training for five weeks that is reportedly going to start today (August 31st). Some information about the enlistment was not divulged; even the exact time and place was kept private to keep the crowd from gathering following the health protocols brought about the current COVID19 pandemic.
Park Bo Gum's mandatory military service is expected to end in April 2022.

Blossom Entertainment, which is the actor's management agency, released a statement stating that the information of his enlistment, including the time and location, was kept from the public, and Park Bo Gum will be admitted silently without holding some special events. The agency added that following social distancing protocol due to the pandemic is the right thing to do. The most important thing as of the moment is the health of the general public. They're asking for everyone's cooperation with this.
Park Bo Gum is known as a famous Hallyu star with a good personality. Some of his co-stars describe him as a kind and respectable actor, and some of his endorsers also praise him for his boyish and manly appearance, "bright and positive aura" and "easygoing and high-end image."
