The 47th Korean Broadcasting Awards organized by the Korean Broadcasting association has announced its winners for 2020.

On September 2, the Korea Broadcasting Association picked winners out of the 59 entries. The association selected 19 winners for the individual awards and will announce more lists during the ceremony which will be aired on MBC on September 10.

The initial results announced from the list of winners are from the boy band group BTS who won the Artist Award. Kang Ha Neul won the Best Actor Award for the drama KBS2 "When The Camellia Blooms".

Creator Pengsoo also won the Entertainment Award for EBS 1TV "Giant Peng TV" and PD Kim Tae-ho won the Producer Award for MBC "How Do You Play".

KBS2 "When The Camellia Blooms" took the prize for the Best Drama TV Award. The show won three awards in selected categories. It is in close battle with the drama "Stove League" during the selection process.

This is the second time that Kang Ha Neul received the Best Actor Award for his character in the drama "When The Camellia Blooms". The said drama series also sweeped major awards including the Best Actor (Kang Ha Neul and Best TV Drama) in the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards in June of this year.

On the other hand, BTS won the Best Artist Award which recently their song "Dynamite" reached top 1 in the Billboard hits. Making them the first Korean boy band to get into Billboard hits 100.

The 47th Korean Broadcasting Awards will hold its ceremony on September 10 with no audience due to the COVID-19 resurgence. The association aimed to inspire more networks to produce creative contents that will give viewers excitement. At the same time to give recognition to broadcasters efforts in their line of work.
