tvN's forthcoming drama "Tale of the Nine-Tailed" is scheduled to premiere next month, and ahead of its premiere, the production team has unveiled a new poster that features lead stars Lee Dong Wook and Kim Bum's fierce face to face encounter.
The urban fantasy drama tells the story of a mythical creature known as a male gumiho (nine-tailed fox) named Yi Yeon, to be portrayed by Lee Dong Wook, who now has settled to live in the city, and the courageous producing director, portrayed by Jo Bo Ah, who is very eager to find and hunt him down.
The mythical creature named Yi Yeon was once a guardian spirit ruler of Baekdudaegan Mountain Range, but in the current time, he lives in the city trying to blend in with ordinary people. However, from time to time, he travels between this world and the underworld while doing his job as a judge who gives punishments to monsters that bother the world of the living.
On the other hand, Kim Bum will portray the character of Yi Rang, who is the half-brother of Yi Yeon. He is half human and half gumiho. He may be the brother of Yi Yeon, but he is a dangerous creature with an unpredictable emotion that will bring complications and conflicts to the story.

The teasers and trailers that were released have already given us some hints on what to expect on the show. As seen in the poster released, the Gumiho brothers Yi Yeon and Yi Rang are all suited up for a fierce face to face encounter! In the background, the duo is surrounded by modern buildings. The two stars exchange powerful glances, and Yi Yeon seems to be holding the sword tight and wouldn't let go while Yi Rang also has his one hand glued on the sword and his other hand trying to reach out to his half-brother's face. And as the brothers stare at each other intensely, the poster reads, "I'm going to hell. I'm going with you!"
Although both characters seem to display a fierce confrontation on the poster, the production staff revealed that actors Lee Dong Wook and Kim Bum share a sibling-like bond off-the screen. They wowed the staff by incorporating more actions and feelings into their poses when requested. They had the perfect teamwork and understanding. Both actors did not have to discuss the poses before they shot.
