Lee Ji Hoon and his entertainment agency get into a conflict that arises to suspension of the exclusive contract after recent court decisions.
On September 22, the 50th Division Civil Agreement of the Seoul Central District Court released its decision to suspend the effectiveness of the exclusive contract and the subsidiary agreement signed by both parties. This party's mention of the decision is for actor Lee Ji Hoon and his agency G-Tree Creatives.
This means that the G-Tree agency will not be able to sign contracts with broadcasters, production companies, and advertising agencies in relation to any entertainment activities that will be in concern with Lee Ji Hoon.
Both parties signed an exclusive contract in September 2018 which allows the G-Tree to handle any entertainment activities for Lee Ji Hoon. However, the actor's displeasure of service resulted in July for his application submitted to the court for a temporary demand to suspend the effect of his exclusive contract.
Lee Ji Hoon's representative shared that G-Tree did not assign a manager who will coordinate with his activities and the agency did not pay proper wages to the actor's managers.
Another concern raised by the actor is that the G-Tree made abusive remarks and intimidated Lee Ji Hoon's parents. In addition the agency also tracked all the actor's private life activities.
After court validation, it was decided to temporarily suspend the exclusive contract of Lee Ji Hoon and Gtree agency. The judiciary said, "It is difficult to recover close cooperation and trust between the said parties after the dispute, the lawsuit, and the contents of both parties about the issue. Furthermore, G-tree has not been able to explain in detail what kind of management plan they have for Lee Ji Hoon's future entertainment activities."
As reported, G-Tree is preparing for an objection to the provisions of the decision and will file a counter lawsuit in order to recover the company's damages.
Lee Ji Hoon recently appeared in the concluded drama MBC's "Dinner Mate".
