JTBC released new posters for their upcoming drama 'Run-On', as well as for the premiere date! Read on to learn more about the drama, the premiere date, and a look into the posters.
'Run-On' is an upcoming romance drama about people who try to connect with each other in their own languages after living in their own unique, individual worlds. It stars Im Si Wan as Ki Su Kyum, a former track and field athlete who retires following a life-changing event. He is now a sports agent.
He acts alongside Shin Se Kyung as Oh Mi Joo, an adventurous foreign film translator.
In the newly released posters, Ki Su Kyum is seen looking at the bright blue sky with a bright smile on his face. As a former track and field star - a competitive world in which every second count - Kim Si Kyum has been immense in a world in which every second count, especially when it comes to finding true love.
The headline of his poster reads something that embodies this, saying, "Each at different speeds of love".
The poster for Oh Ji Moo shows her working hard on her laptop amidst the warm sunlight. Playing off her career as a translator, her headline reads, "Each at different languages of love". Oh Ji Moo, though adventurous, is always worried about how to relay the messages of the film through her translations.
Oh Mi Joo is trapped in her internal conflicts when she meets Ki Su Kyum. Viewers can look forward to those two learning more about each other, what they feel, and what exactly their 'love language' is.
When talking about the plot of the drama, the production team said, "Ki Sun Kyum, a man who lives in a world where he suffers a loss the moment he turns around in a race, and Oh Mi Joo, a woman who lives and breathes the world of translation and keeps repeating the same scene, begin to see each other under the bright autumn sky."
They also ask viewers to look forward to their blossoming relationship, saying, "We hope you look forward to the beautiful romance drama 'Run-On,' which tells the story of a man and woman who influence one another as their lives intertwine and begin changing who they are through small transformations."
'Run-On' will premiere on December 16, 2020, and will air every Wednesday and Thursday through JTBC.
ABOUT IM SI WAN
Im Si Wan is a South Korean singer and actor. He first made his debut as an idol. In 2010, he debuted in the boy group ZE:A under Star Empire. He is also a member of the sub-unit ZE:A-Five.
Im Si Wan debuted as an actor in 2012 with the period drama 'Moon Embracing the Sun'. The drama was a huge hit and gained the title 'The Nation's Drama', launching Im Si Wan to fame. His next big project is the film 'The Attorney' (2013), where he plays a young student activist who is tortured by police. The film was a critical success and earned him a 'Best New Actor' award.
In 2014, he acted in 'Misaeng', playing a former baduk player who learns to adapt to Korean corporate life. Again, Im Si Wan gained fame with the drama, as it was named a cultural phenomenon. In 2017, Im Si Wan was invited to attend the Cannes Film Festival for his work in the film 'The Merciless'.
His latest project is the thriller drama 'Hell is Other People' and the period sports film 'Boston 1947'. In 2020, he was cast in the disaster film 'Declaration of Emergency'.

Shin Se Kyung is a South Korean actress, singer, and model. She started her career as a child actress and model, debuting on the cover and poster for Seo Taiji's solo album 'Take Five'. She gained fame as an adult with the drama 'High Kick!' She then landed high-profile acting projects such as the noir film 'Hindsight', the historical drama 'Deep Rooted Tree', and aerial action film 'R2B: Return to Base'.
