It seems that the long wait is over for Kim Soo Hyun fans! 2020's highest-paid Korean actor might be back with another Netflix series! The actor is reportedly offered to star in a brand new project.
On November 6, According to some media outlets, Kim Soo Hyun will star in the lead role in the upcoming Netflix suspense series Finger (working title). Finger is said to be the Korean version of the Western movie American Psycho, which will feature the story of a well known interior designer who looks so perfect on the outside, but has sociopath killer tendencies hidden deep inside him.
The actor's agency Gold Medalist responded to the news circulating involving their talent, Kim Soo Hyun. The agency stated that 'Finger' is one of the castings offers Kim Soo Hyun has received. As of the moment, he is still reviewing the said offer.
The upcoming Netflix series will be penned by Han Ji Wan, who also made the 2016 drama 'Wanted.' The drama will be helmed by Director Jung Ji Woo, who is a hit film director and this will be considered as his first drama series. Finger is expected to complete and finish its casting process for both the main and supporting roles soon and is scheduled to begin filming next spring of 2021.
If the actor will accept this offer, this would mark Kim Soo Hyun's comeback after the huge success of his most recent hit drama 'It's Okay Not To Be Okay' where he portrayed the character of Moon Gang Tae, a caregiver at a psychiatric hospital who has his own fair share of emotional struggles. His amazing performance in the drama launched him to the top of the August drama actor brand reputation rankings. When the hit drama concluded, the industry once again tagged Kim Soo Hyun as a guaranteed check actor. This means that it is guaranteed that whatever project he'll accept, surely he's going to perform well.
South Korean actor Kim Soo-hyun was born on February 16, 1988. He is famously recognized for his amazing portrayal in television series namely: Dream High (2011), Moon Embracing the Sun (2012), My Love from the Star (2013), The Producers (2015), and his latest hit drama It's Okay to Not Be Okay (2020). Kim Soo Hyun graced the big screen through the films, The Thieves (2012), Secretly, Greatly (2013) and Real (2017).
Kim Soo Hyun started his career in the entertainment industry through a supporting role in the 2007 family sitcom Kimchi Cheese Smile. Then the following year (2018), he bagged a leading role in KBS's critically acclaimed youth drama, Jungle Fish.
In case you don't know, the actor was for being a model taxpayer by the local tax office for faithfully paying taxes every Tax Day in March 2015. Then in July 2015 the general public was shock with the news revealing that Kim Soo Hyun actually has a paternal half-sister named Kim Ju-na, a singer.
