BTS Universe Drama ‘Youth’ is Scheduled to Resume Filming Early Next Year

The most-awaited BTS Universe drama "Youth"' halts its shooting schedule and is confirmed to resume in the early months of 2021.

According to the report on Dec. 9, filming for the drama "Youth" was interrupted at the end of October. Co-producers GreenBam Media and Big Hit Entertainment advised their actors that "The filming was put in to hold to in the process of adjusting the reflection of the member's real name in the boys' narratives, and we will resume filming after completing the consultation."

Regardless, the shoot was not able to resume last November, and it was decided to continue filming earlier in December, but it was postponed. Subsequently, it has been confirmed that the resume of shooting will happen in January of next year (2021).

The drama "Youth" is based on the BTS Universe and will tell the story of seven young individuals who grow into becoming the most well-loved group in the world after struggling with uncertain situations in their lives. They become each other's home in the middle of a chaotic world.

"Youth" is produced by Kim Jae Hong, who also made "Your Neighbor's Wife" and "Steal Heart," and penned by writer Kim Soo Jin of "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo."

Meanwhile, the series received a lot of interest and support from the production team, for it is a drama that contains the worldview of BTS "Hwa-Yang Yeonhwa." BU stands for BTS Universe and is popularly known as The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Series, Hwa Yang Yeon Hwa Series (HYYH). The official name and logo were first used in 2017. It is a South Korean media franchise and shared fictional universe that shows various music videos and short films independently produced by Big Hit Entertainment. The characters are inspired by the BTS members.

The franchise expanded and finally includes short stories, books, webtoons, and visual novels. And the long wait of the fans are finally coming to an end for the drama that is set to be released by 2021.

Meanwhile, the lineup for the drama and characters that they will portray were revealed earlier this year (2020) and is increasing concerns from the fans of BTS. The characters in the drama will use the BTS members' real name, which is said that the roles are about an unfortunate childhood that left their dark family environment, having big scars and trauma, these confuse the public.

The official fans of BTS called ARMY gave their statement towards the upcoming drama, they said:

"The real name represents the lives of each member as a human being before becoming a member of the group BTS. The agency uses their real names as main characters of a fictional drama, and using their real name means their identity as normal persons, will make profits, they influence their lives as naturalists and are engaged in inhuman acts seeking profits through them."

The complete cast for the drama is consists of the actors Seo Jo Hoon he will play the character of Jin, J-Hope is played by Ahn Ji Ho, Seo Young Ju will be seen as RM, Kim Yoon Woo will be seen playing the role of Jimin,J ung Woo-Jin plays V, and lastly, Jeon Jin Seo plays the youngest member of BTS team, Jungkook.
