"The Penthouse: War in Life" is said to start filming for their second season soon!
On December 14, reports were released that the production team of the drama is now preparing to shoot the second season of the series. According to reports, the new season will start their filming sometime this week.
The filming of "The Penthouse: War in Life" first season was completed on December 12. The drama's first season will conclude on its 21st episode, which will be broadcast on January 5, 2021. It was previously reported that the drama will run with 3 seasons, in which both seasons 2 and 4 will be broadcast next year (2021).
"The Penthouse: War in Life" will feature a story of real estate and education war and the desire to be on top of the society. The drama will center on the story of a woman who does everything to achieve her goal of entering high society and will showcase the revenge of women who doesn't have any choice but to become a woman of evil in order to protect themselves and most importantly the lives of their children. The drama takes place the luxury Penthouse Apartment with 100 floors.
"The Penthouse: War in Life" stars Lee Ji Ah, Kim So Yeon, Eugene, Um Ki Joon, Park Eun Seok, and Yoon Jong Hoon as the dramas main characters. Shim Su Ryeon portrays the character of Lee Ji Ah, who is a woman born from a wealthy family. She is known as the woman of elegance of the upper society and she is considered as the queen of the luxury Penthouse Apartment. She is married to Joo Dan Tae, portrayed by Uhm Ki Joon, who is a successful entrepreneur and in real estate.
Kim So Yeon on the other hand stars as Cheon Seo Jin an arrogant woman who was born into a wealthy family. She is married to a chief surgeon at a general hospital named Ha Yoon Cheol, portayed by Yoon Jong Hoon. He is a very ambitious man.
Meanwhile, Eugene plays the character of Oh Yoon Hee who was born from the lower class and has a poor family background. She does everything to make her children successful in life. She aims to be part of the upper class for the sake of her children.
Moving forward, based on reports released on December 12, "The Penthouse: War in Life" spends its second week at the top of the dramas list!
Previously, Good Data Corporation released the weekly rankings of the dramas and cast members that generated the most buzz for the week of November 30 through December 6. The company collected data from news articles, blog posts and online communities, videos, and social media for 23 currently airing or upcoming dramas.
The results came out with SBS's "The Penthouse" at the top of the most buzzworthy drama list for the second week in a row! The drama has also surpassed 20% viewership ratings with its 13th episode which was aired back on December 8.
