Present during the online event are actors Song Kang, Lee Jin Wook, Lee Si Young, Lee Do Hyun, Kim Nam Hee, Go Min Si, Park Gyu Young, Go Yoon Jung, and their very own director Lee Eung Bok. They started to introduce themselves and the roles that they will be portraying. After some discussions, the drama director shared his thoughts and experiences about the cast and their own characters.

Director Lee Eung Bok first commented on Song Kang's role, "The first time I encountered Hyun Soo (the character of Song Kang), I was reminded of Johnny Depp's Edward Scissorhands. Even though he had a soft and pure soul, what I liked about him is the image of holding a spear in his hand."

He (director) also expressed what kind of message that he wanted the series to convey, "Although there will be a lot of monster appearances, the real story I wanted to show is about humans. I wanted to ask, 'What exactly is a monster?' This line from Cha Hyun Soo says, 'There are monsters that do not hurt people.'" The director continued, "Just because someone looks like a monster doesn't always mean that they are bad."

Meanwhile, the cast also shared their characters and how they feel portraying the role.

Song Kang openly shared about his character as Cha Hyun Soo, "I am a fan of the original webtoon, that's why I was thrilled when I heard I would be part of the cast. I felt a lot of pressure on how I would play Hyun Soo's inner self and transformation. When I was portraying Hyun Soo, he was my most introverted self, and his transformation image was my most evil self. Since it is really impossible to catch monsters with weapons in real life, I enjoyed myself playing the role."

Lee Jin Wook also commented about his character, "When I look at Pyun Sang Wook, I cannot see myself at all. I prepared a lot and tried to shoe a completely different side of myself."

On the other hand, Lee Si Young will be playing the role of a former firefighter as Seo Yi Kyung. The director honestly expressed that he couldn't think of anyone else to play the character. Actress Lee Si Young shared, "The first time I met director Lee Eung Bok, he said he wanted to show a female character that is capable of strong and powerful action. And with that, I feel so honored to be playing Seo Yi Kyung's role."

Lee Eun Hyuk, the character of Lee Do Hyun, who is a brilliant and sharp-minded guy, will help lead the residents of the apartment building. The director also revealed that Lee Do Hyun was very similar to the role of Lee Eun Hyuk, and Lee Do Hyun agreed that he is 70 percent similar to his character.

Do Hyun also said, "Before, I tried hard to express myself. I would act urgently and try to show my emotions like that, but the director advised me that it would be more natural if Eun Hyuk reacted less. Then, I started to act through my eyes. I didn't express much physically and only conveyed what I'm feeling through my eyes."

The cast also enjoyed the online event together even though they are apart from each other. It gives them more excitement about their upcoming drama. Before the press conference ended the director also revealed that most of the scenes used computer generated imagery (CGI), and they still want to stick with the original webtoon.

"Sweet Home" is scheduled to premiere on Dec. 18 on Netflix! Make sure not to miss it!
